Liked it but check the sizing

I bought this dress for my brother's wedding next month and ordered it in a 2X, I'm very busty and typically wear a womans 18-20. I should have checked the company's website for sizing first as this is a JUNIOR plus. (Junior plus size clothing is sized about two sizes smaller than full women's plus size clothing. So if your wear a 1X in women's plus sizes, you should be looking at a 2X-3X when shopping in Junior plus sizes. Generally: 1X (10-12), 2X (14-16), 3X (18-20) 4X (22), 5X (24). Junior plus size clothing is also styled more towards younger audiences, sexier, trendier, fashion-forward designs distinguish junior plus size clothing from women's plus size clothing.Sizes vary by designer, & each item has a custom size chart, so be sure to click on the size chart link next to the picture of the item you are interested in.)I'm going to return this dress and order it in a 4X to be safe.

Perfect Dress!

I ordered this dress to wear to our annual Halloween Carving Party (I'm going as the spider queen). It was reasonably priced and I figured it's something I could wear again to a wedding or a night out with my hubby. I took my measurements and read the reviews and decided to order the XL (UGH!). I wear a 36C and have a 35" waist (which I'm working on making smaller!). The dress came very quickly which I really appreciated since I'm trying to piece this lil' ensemble together and having the dress helps. Tried it on and it's really big on me - the bust and the waist will all have to be taken in substantially. I expected that I would have to have it taken in based on the reviews but I wonder if I had gotten the large perhaps I could have gotten away with less alterations.The dress is gorgeous though - it's a great length and I love the chiffon (it hides all the flaws like chunky hips and thighs!). The dress is very slimming on and I love the bling at the waistline. It comes with a sheer black wrap too.

slightly disappointed

The dress came fairly quickly, but I was disappointed with the size. I found that it ran small. I ordered the 4X and it's more like a 2X, barely a 3X. The underlining was very small and the zipper isn't even close to closing. I am going to have to drastically alter the dress. If I had more time, I would have sent it back and found something else, but by the time I realized it didn't fit, it was too late. It's a gorgeous dress, I just wish that the sizes were more accurate.

Dress was beautiful!!!

I bought this dress for my beach wedding and got a ton of compliments. I wanted chiffon material so the dress would be light weight and flowy in the ocean breeze. I searched for days in stores and online. In the stores this same dress was tripple the cost and with my wedding being on the beach I didn't want to spend $1000 on something I was going to A) only wear once and B) possibly ruin from the sand and sea. I must admit I was skeptical about buying a dress that I couldn't try on. For some reason, I went with this dress and couldn't have been more happy with my choice. I am curvy, not a stick figure, at 135 lbs 5'6 and my bust is a 34D. I ordered a Medium and the fit was great. The only thing I had altered was the length. The dress was really long but I would rather have too long than short. This was not a problem for me at all because the cost of the dress was so reasonable I didn't mind spending $30 to have it altered. With the length, keep in mind I went barefoot on the beach and did not wear heels. This dress is an empire waist so the dress is designed to sit high on your waist and I recommend getting a nude color bustier bra to help hold it up into place rather than it sliding down and you tugging at it all day. I sewed my bustier bra into my dress so that the dress would stay high up in its place. I actually had to take it out and sew it in a few times to get it right but come wedding day my dress stayed up and I didn't tug on it at all. I also wore a long nude slip under my dress because the dress is sheer and I was afraid with the right lighting people were going to see right throught it. I gave this dress 5 stars because the price was great, the dress was beautiful, the fit was great, and true to a medium size. The dress came very quick, just 4 days after I ordered it. I'm not sure if the details tell you this... but the dress comes with straps that hook into the dress so you can wear it strapless or as spaghetti straps. The dress also comes with a sheer shaw/wrap. I didn't use either but the dress does come with these items. The beading on the dress is smiple and beautiful. So, if your looking for a ton of beading and flashy this dress is not over the top glamorous. It's just simple and beautiful. Wore this dress to a wedding it was absolutely stunning, I was set apart from every guest!Likes:-picture shown above does not do it justice looks even better in person-beadwork is amazing-looks elegant and sophisticated-great price-extremely fast shipping: did overnight shipping, placed my order on Wed. around 11AM got it on Thursday 2PM-true to size based on measurements in chartDislikes:-there is thin boning in the bodice and as I danced it was poking out the dress a bit (never punctured through, though)-the zip was stiff near the beadwork but had no diffuculty

Beautiful dress; Runs small because it is a junior plus probably need to order one size up; we did. Chiffon softens the look and makes it flow beautifully especially for a big girl. Shawl could be more ample, it looks like a scarf. Red was easy to match with red shoes and it looked nice with silver shoes. My daughter is quite pleased. Fast delivery.

I ordered this dress on Wednesday and it came today, Saturday. I was nervous about the packaging as it was in a plastic bag and didn't seem well protected, but it came out good with a few wrinkles that will hopefully disappear while it's hung.It was perfect. It felt like it was tailor-made for my body. The measurements were spot on. I usually wear a 16/18, and I got the 2X. While I was looking through the site, I skipped over this one more than once, but when I finally got a good look at it up close I realized how cute it was.The only problem I had was that I could see the outline of my stomach and belly button through the dress, but a slimmer worked to make that less noticeable and I'm going to try to lose a little weight before I wear it to prom next month.Another plus was the color. I got it in a sage green. I'm rather pale with brownish-red hair and I freckle if I get too much sun. The color didn't wash me out like other dresses did, and I don't have to risk sunburn to look okay in it.Overall, this was an excellent find and I'm glad I chose it.

I bought this dress 2 sizes bigger then normal because of a size mishap with another dress, this one fits great except a little extra in underarm area. I had a pintuck put in, and it's fine. Beautiful dress, I was delighted when it arrived.

I bought the gold dress for a cruise. Very elegant. I wear a normal size 8 for pants & 6 for tops. Dress fit perfect in Medium. Chiffon overlay on bust did need to be taken up about 1 1/2 inches. I used some rhinestone butterfly clips to take up the slack. Very high quality dress, makes me look bigger on top & smaller on bottom.....what more could I want. If I had anywhere to go, would want other colors. Bought a very similar dress in black chiffon at Dillards for $110.00.

i ordered this dress late at night on a Tuesday (meaning the order didn't get processed until Wednesday) and the dress arrived by Saturday! i thought this was very quick as the dress is coming from California and i live in New York. when it got here it came in a very small box and i panicked that it would be wrinkled, however, i took it out and it poofed out and wasn't wrinkled at all!! the satin is very good quality, the dress fits true to the measurements they gave, and is very flattering! it even came with a small wrap! in all, i love this dress (got it in black, looks very classy) and if i had any other formal events i would get it again in another color. i can't wait to wear it tonight to my spring cotillion!

When I purchase this dress I was afraid it wasn't going to fit I read other people review that it run small so I got the 2xl I usually get xl clothing I wear a size 16, when I got it, it fit me perfectly I can't wait to wear it to a wedding I'm going to on the 30th and another thing I got it in 2 days after ordering it I love this dress it's sooo cute

great company, unfortunate experience

Pacificplex got my dress to me in record time! From California to Virginia in only 2 days! WOW! the company was great, and the product was nice, unfortunately there was a discrepancy between my measurements and theirs (probably on my end), and when it got to me I found out that the dress did not fit. Also, with the Satin Halter Dress Tulle Mini Train Prom Bridesmaid we found that it would be near impossible to alter the top of the dress to fit, and my dad's a tailor! :( It's a beautiful dress, and I'm sure it's stunning on, however the style did not work for me! The only thing from the company that was a little dissatisfying was that the color online differed a bit from the color that I recieved, so beware that colors can differ slightly from the display. Overall, great company, unfortunate experience.
